Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC):
BICC was founded in 1994 is an independent, non-profit organization that deals with a wide range of global topics in the field of peace and conflict research centering on Conversion Studies. BICCs mission is to conduct critical, problem-oriented, policy relevant research in response to the problems posed by organized violence. BICC engage in active exchanges with scholars and politicians as well as stakeholders, and as a think tank, BICC seeks to engage in a dialogue with NGOs, governments, private organizations, research institutes and universities and well as with interested individuals.
University for Development Studies (UDS):
The UDS in the Upper East Region in Ghana promotes equitable and socio-economic transformation of communities through practically oriented, community based, problem solving, gender sensitive and interactive research, teaching, learning and outreach activities that have a practical, development and poverty reduction focus. Since 1993, the UDS has grown in the number of faculties, one of which is the Faculty of Planning and Land Management (FPLM). Since 2013 UDS, represented by the FPLM, is cooperating partner in the DAAD-sponsored Ghanaian German Center for Development Studies (GGCDS) that is run in collaboration between ZEF and the Institute for Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana.
UN System Staff College (UNSSC) – Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development
The secretariat of UNSSC with its’ headquarter in Turin has opened the Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in Bonn in January 2016. A key objective of the UNSSC is to equip the development community with a roadmap to harness and transfer knowledge for sustainable development. The Knowledge Centre in Bonn supports the policy and operational work of the UN through the development of learning tools, platforms for interaction and a mature set of learning offerings. The Knowledge Center is experienced in conducting residential workshops, seminars, training courses and consultancy on e-learning based education.
